Our 2,500th Find

Just about 31 hours ago we found Burton Veteran Memorial (GC9875) bringing our total cache finds to 2,500. It was just over a year ago when we found out 1,500th cache during the "Geowoodstock VI" festivities. We've picked up our pace after struggling to balance the time producing the podcasts and caching (plus some family and work issues tossed in), started caching again for some goals more than numbers or just the sake of caching. So I'd expect number 3,000 to not be far behind (ItsNotAboutTheNumbers projects sometime between August 27, 2009 and February 2, 2010). In the meantime we've found all but 104 of the Michigan Virtual Caches and have cached in two countries (the U.S.A. and Canada). We've found caches in ten states (California, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia) and one Province (Ontario). In Michigan, we've hit 41 counties, three of them for the first time yesterday, and only have 42 left for the entire state, but just 27 left to hit in the lower peninsula. Sounds like we have some driving ahead of us for the next several months.

Congrats on the milestone!

Also, I was searching the DC area because some of us are thinking about going down for a baseball game and there are like 35 virtuals within like 10 miles or so down there. That's a trip you need to make! ;)
