Checking late last night (or early this morning) I discovered an update to Geocaching Buddy was available. Version 4 is compatible only with the iPhone OS 3.0 and better but provides a number of new features. Firefly03 loves this app and uses it to help solve and store all her puzzle solves. The new navigate and map modes supports the compass in the iPhone 3G S allowing cache hunting without the need to leave the app. I'll have to try it, but the new photo option will likely be handy for those multicaches where you use signs to collect information for calculation, but it is only available on devices with a camera (sorry, no iPod Touches for photos). I look forward to trying it out more (and I'm sure Drie will really enjoy it) but the trip for us recently has been getting to the finals before the owner archives them. The update is available now for free to existing customers. New customers can buy the app for $9.99 USD.
