Unfortunately it's 2 steps forward and 1 (big) step back. Bing maps don't provide adequate zoom and Google maps are broken. I used it a bit tonight on a 23 cache run and was quite disappointed. Hopefully 4.1 (or 4.0.1) comes soon.

I'm getting some mixed reports, but I too have problems with the Google Maps loosing the marker for my current location and never moving when it's there. The trouble with Bing maps for me has been the inaccuracy based on the position. In many cases something like a tree or fence line was more than 100 from it's actual location.
