Geocaching Widget version 3.0 for Android

The latest update to Geocaching Widget received an update today. The Play Store lists several changes in version 3.0 based on the OS version:

c:geo version 2014.01.25 for Android

The latest update to c:geo (2014.01.25) dropped in the Play Store this weekend. The Play Store lists only bug fixes in this version:

• Twitter would not let us post found caches
• Some phones wouldn't let c:geo add new pictures to logs

Sigher (Beta) version 0.077 for Android

Those who follow either of my shows know that I've been following a new location game called "Sighter." Today we saw a new version of the Sighter (Beta) app for Android – version 0.077. The highlight in this version is the addition of the "Couch Mode." This mode allows you to play a guessing game anywhere in the world (with a data connection of course). You're shown an image and asked to pick in which of four countries (in "Basic" mode) or cities (in "Advanced" or "Hardcore" modes) that photo was taken. It's a fun twist to the game. It's a free app available in the Play Store now.

Munzee version 2.1 for Android

Android Users received Munzee 2.1 a couple days ago. This version adds several features according to the "What's New" section;

1. New! Munzee has Badges. You can earn badges by reaching various milestones as you play, get push notifications when you earn a badge.
2. New! In-App Messaging. You can now send and receive messages complete with push notifications.
3. New! Translations. Munzee is now localized for Deutsch and Nederlands.
4. Many feature enhancements and bug fixes.

Geocaching version 3.1 for Android

Groundspeak's Geocaching app version 3.1 is out now. The release notes in their forums list:

• New geocache details screen
• New, simplified, logging a geocache screen
• More accurate compass
• Edit and delete waypoints
• New language support for Japanese
• Bug fixes to stabilize the app

CacheSense version 3.1.21 for Android

CacheSense for Android version 3.1.21 is now available. The "What's New" sections indicates only support for the new Munzee 2.0 app. A free 30-day Trial version is also available.

Munzee version 2.0 for Android

Android Users can rejoice as Munzee 2.0 is out now! The all new app has an all new look and new functionality. Downloading from the Play Store for free.

c:geo received an update in the Play Store today. Version 2013.08.24 list:

CacheSense for Android version 3.1.18 is now available. The "What's New" sections indicates:

• New GPS control settings (battery saving)
• Fixes for PQ download and sync problems

Groundspeak's Geocaching app version 3.0.1 was released last night. The "What's New" section lists:

• Fixed crashes while navigating and searching
• Added radar back in

Version 3.0 of the official Groundspeak Geocaching app is now available in the Google Play Store. The "What's New" section lists:

• New Design – The feature at the top is the "Action Bar." It makes many tasks easier. We've also upgraded to the newest version of Google Maps.
• Searches – Search by GC code, location or trackable code through the Action Bar.
• Toggles – Toggle between map view and list view and between compass mode and map mode.
• Other Updates – Updated text, enhanced waypoint creation, additional Sign Out options, Bug fixes, and added Spanish, Finnish, and Slovak.

c:geo received an update in the Play Store today. Version 2013.07.25 list:

• A warning message is shown if an android version less than 2.1 is used c:geo will no longer support these devices starting with the next main release
• Upgraded to new twitter API to fix non working tweets
• Bugfixing:
• Adaption to changes on gc.com (Logging date could be wrong in some cases)

Another update for c:geo dropped in the Play Store today. Version 2013.06.05 list only "Adaption to changes on gc.com (Logging date could be wrong in some cases)" in the "What's New" section. c:geo is free in the Google Play Store.

CacheSense version 3.1.14 for Android

CacheSense for Android version 3.1/14 was waiting for me this morning in the PLay Store. The new version includes:

1. Improved stability, fixed the issues behind the most commonly reported crashes which were occurring when CacheSense was resumed after being paused, eg. after switching to another app or the home screen.
2. Added rotation to mapsforge maps, fixed flickering and reduced memory usage.
3. Multiple selection popup on map replaced with list on HUD
4. Finer control over HUD features (Map Settings | Head-Up Display)
5. Touch point displayed on map (shows radius of touch point as fading circle).
6. Added option to sync pocket queries at a specific time each day (Settings | Geocaching Live API | Pocket Query Sync Options).
7. Fixed bug when creating a mapsforge offline map source, the file browser did not show .map files initially.
8. When creating a map sources, the min/max zoom values default to 1 and 18 respectively (normal OSM range).
9. Fixed bug causing incomplete titles on the task menu.
10. Fixed crash in compass when CacheSense is resumed after switching to another app.
11. Fixed the recurring bug causing Pocket Queries to lose their sync flag.
12. Fixed long-standing issue where pocket query sync and email monitoring were not started after a device boot until you ran CacheSense for the first time. This happened when CacheSense was installed on the SD Card and with "fast boot" features on some ROMs.
13. Fixed issue where task menu pinned & recent items did not work when switching from the demo build to the paid build and vice versa.
14. Fixed issue preventing Compass & Radar from starting (especially on tablets).
15. Latest German translations.

c:geo received some more updates through the Play Store. Version 2013.05.31 and 2013.05.31a list the following bugfixes;

• Adaption to changes on gc.com (cache and TB log not possible, cache attributes not shown)
• Pictures in logs are now loaded in standard resolution like on the website to improve performance
• Corrected missing information and performance issues on nearby search for basic members
• Adaptation to further changes on gc.com

Neongeo version 1.166 for Android

Version 1.166 of Neongeo appeared in the Play Store today. The "What's New" section in the Play Store notes the updates from 1.165 plus Fixed Android 4.2 related issues &quo;Async Download Fix." Just three days since the last release of c:geo another version has appeared in the Play Store. Version 2013.05.16 only lists "Adaption to changes on gc.com (live map)" in the "What's New" section. c:geo is free in the Google Play Store.
